Anti Corruption Movement

It was projected that India will be an Economic Superpower by 2020. However, the Indian Economy fizzled out due to rampant corruption, subverting Institutions. When the anti corruption movement was started, Mr. Gopal Krishna Agarwal emerged as one of the chief pillars of the movement. His understanding of the issue strengthened the movement intellectually and made it more than just a protest or a charter of demands. Mr. Gopal Krishna Agarwal not only convened & conducted the first public meeting of the movement on 14th November 2010 at Janter Manter but also drafted several documents thereafter to strengthen the movement. He is one of the signatory of the first letter send to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on 1st December 2010 demanding Jan Lokpal Bill along with Shri Shri Ravi shanker ji, Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi etc.

He was the main architect of the negotiation between India Against Corruption and opposition party BJP ensuring its support for the Bill in the Lok Sabha.
